Harley is honestly the best character eve! Omg Bella Forrest where have you been all my life!!! I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and now this series i am instantly hooked!! Prepare your yourself for a great story & to specially fall in love with Harley from the jump! She’s fierceless hilarious and very straight foward, I love all the different magic practices from all over the world i honestly can’t wait to see where this story is going!!! Well done Bella you never disappoint me i swear!Bella Forrest does it again she is a genius! I never in a million years thought she could top A Shade of Vampire series! But sure enough she did this book is fantastic! I loved every second of it I was completely enthralled! This book starts out with a girl who knows absolutely nothing about herself except for the fact that she's an orphan, she can tell what people are feeling and has a few magical abilities. She accidentally discovers the Magical World finding out who her parents are and finds a new family in the process. I can't wait for the next one I'm on the edge of my seat!Average YA magic fantasy book, might get better as the series progresses This one was a bit more Y than YA for me. Very predictable but the world building was a bit different from the norm. It does, however, feel like it draws a lot from the Harry Potter books in terms of how the magic works and the points scoring.The characters are quite interesting except for the heroine's love interest who is hard to like. The bad guys are a bit wimpy and there seems to be a whole bunch of twenty year olds running around like ten year olds throughout the book. The writing is clear and the plot moves along nicely but I just found that everything seemed very obvious to me.I will certainly be reading the sample of the next book but am not ready to jump into the series just yet.

Excellent Resource For Learning Copperplate Calligraphy! I am a relative newcomer to calligraphy and copperplate lettering. I received my copy of this newly published book, Copperplate Calligraphy from A to Z, by Sarah Richardson. My immediate impression was that this is a quality book printed on substantial paper. The subject matter is presented in a clear and concise manner. The explanations for the formation of letters and flourishes are excellent and simple to follow. My evening was filled with a number of hours reading through the book and practicing the letter formations as described in the book. What an enjoyable and beneficial tool to add to my calligraphy library. Well done!A Beautiful Guide This is such a beautiful book! Calligraphy is something I've always admired but never had the patience to actually learn. I'm hoping this book will help me change that (and if not, it's going to make a great gift for my calligrapher mom!!). I very much appreciated all the photos and examples in this book. It made it so much easier to figure out if I was holding the pen the correct way or if I was doing my letter properly. I appreciated the suggestions of materials, the tips for beginners, and care that went into each paragraph about strokes. Truly, this is a step by step guide. My one criticism is that the practice pages in the back are very glossy, which seems bad for actually writing on with ink. I ended up just photo-copying those pages. All in all, I think this book is a great guide for those looking to brush up on their skills or those just beginning to learn calligraphy.Wonderful, detailed guidebook As someone who's just getting into calligraphy, I've noticed a trend where the best-written calligraphy books tend to espouse the old-school style of calligraphy, which looks dated now, while books that teach the newer style are less detailed. This book bridges the gap. It walks you through technique, materials and practice step by step. It's not so long as to be intimidating, either. Who's honestly going to read a 400 page tome on calligraphy? I've really been enjoying the exercises and feel like this was a great choice for my first beginner purchase. If you want to do calligraphy professionally, you may want to pick up that 400 page tome later.

Required book for class, but not a dud! Great book I needed for my class. It was very well organized and allowed the tests to be very well aligned.Excellent Text Book Professor Myers has written another excellent text book. This was a required text for a course, but it was a pleasure to read and I know I will refer to it often in the future. The latest edition has many updates and current references. It covers all the topics you would expect in a book on the topic (aggression, helping, persuasion, cognitive errors, etc.) and a few additional chapters (social psychology in the clinic & the court, the sustainable future) that are not so typical. The layout of the book makes it easy to read and easy to reference. If you are using the book for study, the accompanying website has lots of extras to test your knowledge.Disappointed with quality expectations! I purposefully bought one that said like new because I wanted it to withstand me bringing it back and forth to school but when I got it the book was very well used and the spine was all torn up and it had a sticky note on the front that said sorry the binding was broken when I got it! So unprofessional
